Six Outfits to Try This Weekend- Chicago Restaurant Guide

  • 1. Wrap a blanket scarf around your pinafore and head out to The Betty in Fulton Market. Boasting a vintage vibe with its bookshelves of records and wooden interior, you can expect everything here from pierogi to clams. It's got a little bit of everything and, most importantly, a whole lotta bourbon.

  • 2. Repurpose a dress you're bored with by turning it into a top and make plans at Antico in Bucktown for some fancy Italian. A coffee shop by day and trattoria by night, this cozy little restaurant offers a small selection of plates that revolve around their house made pastas. You can expect dishes like braised short ribs over saffron polenta, or blueberry risotto- mmmm.

  • 3. Go tomboy chic with overalls and go for some kimchi fries at bopNgrill in Rogers Park. A place that likes to mix traditional American dishes with some Korean flair, you can expect dishes like burgers with sun dried tomatos and togarashi mayo.

  •   4. Pair a longer knit with your midi skirt and head to the Winchester in Ukraine Village for some upscale comfort food. Passionate about their wall plants and artisanal waffles, you can expect dishes like wild mushroom crostini with cipollini onion, hazelnut, and parsnip, or mussels with spicy tomato, white wine, and baguette.

  • 5. Pop a cable-knit over your maxi and make plans at Ramen-San in Near North Side for some supped up ramen noodles.  Sporting a bit of a hip hop vibe, this can be a place where you grab lunch or some late night eats, seeing how it's open til 1 am. And bonus, they have Japanese beer on the premises! You can expect dishes like sticky thai chicken wings, or kimchi and fried chicken ramen.

  • 6. Wanna go eat some fried chicken at a fancy place? Then layer a skirt over your dress and meet at Coppervine in Lincoln Park, which is offering Champagne & Fried Chicken Thursdays. But this isn't just any fried chicken- its batter consists of allspice, cloves, and cinamon. And all this for only $20!

I have only made it as far as the Chicago Airport.. Haha!! I especially like look number five with the cable knit over a maxi. 13. I read your last article on Bustle about only having pieces you love in your closet and it made me realize how your style has shifted over the years I've followed your blog. You seem to have more timeless pieces with fun details, and wear them in interesting ways! I need to take some cues because my closet is exploding with things I don't wear, and I do regular clean outs!
