Jan 30, 2015

Ever seen a trend, liked it, but weren't necessarily sure if you could style it in a "you" kind of way? "How We Wore It" will show you how different women braved the trend and played with it until they got it to fit in with their styles- and hopefully that'll inspire us to poke a toe out of our comfort zones and try something new, too! Today's trend will be scarves. Happy creating!

  1. The only reason why I can somewhat enjoy winter is because of the scarves, ah I must attempt look 6&7. Have you seen the film Le divorce? This post reminded me of a scene where they talk about the way Parisian women style their scarves, simply chic :)

  2. I think that #3 and #8 are my favourites - and definitely the most "me" style wise. I need a big polka dot scarf now!

  8. Love the idea of collating ways to wear a certain piece of clothing! Even if you don't like the first two ideas, you'll sure love the third :) It's funny actually. Just a few hours ago I wrapped up a shoot wearing a scarf in a totally different way. Great minds right?

  9. I so need to get more scarves into my closet. I always forget to pull out the few that I have but I love how they look!

To answer the question you left on my last post, it's both a personal and professional interest. My PhD is in British history (early modern specifically) and its what I research and write on. But I only pursued it as a career because I was fascinated with Elizabeth I and Henry VIII when I was a kid!

  10. These are all lovely but I think my favourites are three and five. I love the spots, and the stripes/denim combination in the fifth picture. Also, I never would have thought of tucking my scarf into a belt but it looks great! xx

  13. Oh, I love looking at different ways to wear scarves! I love scarves and have rather too many, but it's so fun to wear them in different ways, and I think they can really make an outfit. I especially like styles 1, 2 and 4. 3 is so cute, but I'm not sure I could pull it off....! xxx

  19. Swooning over all of this inspiration right now!! There's few things I love about winter and cold weather, but one of those things is being able to bundle up in a great scarf.

  23. These are great ideas- I have far to many scarfs but never seem to wear them, maybe this will help. I love look three, but I would have to build some more style confidence before giving it a go!
