LAYERING 101: 10 LAYERING IDEAS FOR FALL

Oct 14, 2014

Now that fall is in full swing and Starbucks has officially stolen a good chunk of my income with their Pumpkin Spice Latte siren song, it's time to bust out the chunky sweaters and the ankle boots. The only trouble is that once the temps start dipping beneath the 50's, it's hard to stay motivated to dress interesting. We fall back onto the usual fisherman sweater + jeans combo and call it a day as we shiver underneath our coats. So to keep the inspiration alive, here's another installment of Layering 101: Fall Edition! Which one is your favorite look? And feel free to share some looks/ ideas you've been wanting to try in the comments below!

  2. FOUR IS SO AMAZING. That tartan. So tart. Unf. You find the best layering ideas. I mean you're always going to be the queen of layering in my book, and pretty sure that nobody will be able to top that, but I like the looks you picked out, too.

  9. Ahhh I wish summer wasn't coming :o( I actually just came from another blog that featured thigh-high booties. Now I'm no expert on cold weather since we don't technically get anywhere near as cold as you Chicagoans, so I don't know if they're practical or not. I seem to think they would be under a midi skirt and coat or over some denim, discreetly camouflaging ugly woollen socks that keep your feet snuggly.

  10. Love love love your tips and tricks for layering. I suck pretty bad at layering without looking like I've thrown on all the clothes that I own.

  15. Oh my, SO many gorgeous looks!! I've actually started adding some of my flowy summer blouses under my cropped sweaters. In fact, I wore something identical to look number eight the other day! As for a look I want to try? Big knit scarf, slouchy sweater, maxi skirt with slits, and my gorgeous whiskey heeled boots!! <3 Cozy and comfy. My absolute favourite! Happiest week to you love!! xo

  18. Three, six, and nine are my favorites! Oh, the pants in nine! Amazing. I tend to get lazy with layering because I don't have good structured jackets. I need to look for some!
