HOW WE WORE IT: FANCY TO CASUAL

Sep 19, 2014

Ever seen a trend, liked it, but weren't necessarily sure if you could style it in a "you" kind of way? "How We Wore It" will show you how different women braved the trend and played with it until they got it to fit in with their styles- and hopefully that'll inspire us to poke a toe out of our comfort zones and try something new, too! Today's trend will be taking fancy pieces and turning them casual (stemming off of my post where I took an evening gown and made it Wednesday-appropriate ;)). Happy creating!

  2. Your look is fantastic! I like 1 and 9 here the best! It's always fun to turn one thing into something out. A few years ago I went on a turn-a-cocktail-dress-into-a-work-dress phase!

Haha, I love how these ladies dressed down super fancy pieces. It still looks fancy, but more daytime appropriate.
So the solution is to always add a knit sweater! :D

  12. OMG what a great idea!!! I have several dresses that I don't were often because they are too fancy and I don't have enough special occasions to wear them! this is the perfect solution to this issue! so basically you add a sweater on top or wear sneakers? love it! I will do this too :) Thanks for sharing!
