Sometimes it's the smallest things that save us:

The way that sunlight gets tangled in lace curtains, the soft tap of ballet flats on pavement, a stranger's smile through a cafe's window, spring breezes that smell of wildflowers and promises, sugar cookies in a tin can, the snap of white sheets on a clothes line, coffee rings on a wooden table, red tulips growing wild in a garden, and floral dresses that play at your ankles as you walk in early afternoon sunshine.

These sorts of things make you want to fix your rose tinted glasses for the umpteenth time. Because, what's the harm?

  9. Yes! In a world of minis, you're killing it in that maxi. I love the swishy feel of the fabric around my ankles and just can't help feeling so sharp when I wear a pretty vintage maxi.

  34. Yes, what Ali said ^^
You are a writer through and through, and even in that simple paragraph about little things that make us happy, you brought a smile to my face. I could close my eyes and picture each thing you described because of how well it was written. Never stop writing!

And yes, floral skirts can make a girl happier! I love this one and how you knotted your denim over it.
