Review Time!

So as you know I'm all about my small businesses and Etsy stores, but when Sheinside contacted me to style and review an item I was kind of intrigued. I dabble in fast fashion here and there, and I especially like when the tag doesn't break the $20 mark. Oh, I don't bat an eyelash when I drop thirty dollars on sushi and saki bombs but I somehow feel guilty when spending too much on clothes, ya know?

And Sheinside pretty much fits that bill- it keeps my thrifty side happy and at ease. It reminds me a lot of a Forever 21- in both price and style. Now, while they have SO many adorable dresses and blouses I'd sort of stay away from their coats. I ordered this geometric parka and I think calling it a "parka" is sort of a stretch. The inside is lined with really cozy fleece but it's no warmer than a snuggie...which means I'd die from hypothermia just walking from my front door to my car. The shape of it was really oblong and frumpy, too, so in the end I wasn't too big of a fan of this particular piece. But, I wouldn't write off Sheinside just because of this one item- like I said, they have a ton of adorable spring items. I just chose poorly, haha. Here are some others to give you an idea- you can decide for yourself :)

  1. You look so cozy yet chic! I know what you mean about feeling guilty when spending too much in clothes, but, how about shoes or bags? I really don't have any guilty feelings with those, but I know I should lol.

  3. I've never bought anything at the sheinside boutique, but I have been hearing so many good reviews. I loved all of these four items! Your parka, the yellow blouse, the stripped t-shirt and those shorts!
So I'm defiantly going to check it out! xx

  4. I totally agree! Last night I spent 40+ on takeout indian for my roommate and I, but if I like a piece of clothing I can't get myself to buy unless it's well under 20$ usually... I'm such a cheep-o when it comes to clothes!!

  8. I got a coat from there once and was also pretty disappointed (although it looked cute - as yours does). But I do have a few blouses and a sweater from them that I really love!

  13. Well, you certainly make it look cute even if it didn't quite measure up in person! I love the print on it. It's too bad it's not warmer. Sheinside does have a lot of really cute stuff!

  14. Bhaha, I'm the same! :D I don't even think about spending tons of bucks on a fancy sushi bar, but when it comes to clothes "aaa dang, too expensive" :D
I think the parka is awesome, even though it's not the warmest piece :D You can wear it as a hoodie!

  16. Love your zip-up! I know what you mean about dropping cash on clothes! Everything I own has either come from a sponsor, a thrift shop, or a consignment shop. I rarely spend more than $20 on a single item of clothing… but where boots are concerned… yeah, I'm toast!

  18. aw aw, I'm sorry it's not as snuggly as you'd have liked to have, but it is quite darling. And yay for you for trying something out of your comfort zone. Sometimes you've just gotta take the plunge AND DO IT! YEAH!

I love that backdrop, by the way. That is a super snazzy backdrop. Wood. Mmm. Bet it smells nice. K, I'm bein' weird. Ali out.

  24. Love the print of the jacket! Sucks that it isn't very practical though, that's one of the things I dislike about online shopping- you'll never know what the product is actually like until you get it.

  25. Though I applaud them for being so budget friendly, I definitely am not a MAJOR fan of this parka. And yet, you have managed to style is flawlessly as usual. Such a babe.
