PARKA: thrifted (similar: here and here and here)
SWEATER: H&M (similar: here)
SHORTS: thrifted (similar: here and here)
BOOTS: Macy's (similar: here and here)

I've been wanting a loose fitting spring parka like this for AGES. I usually love anything baggy and think it looks especially cute when paired with shorter hems- so when I went shopping with Jamie from Petite Panoply (!!) I was so excited to see one hanging all lonesome on the rack. I think it was the perfect touch to balance out the jazzy sweater and the denim on denim action. And that's right, I was on a blogger date! Jaimie has family that lives literally ten minutes away from my house, so when she was in town for a wedding we made sure to wedge in a coffee and shopping date. Now if only I can somehow convince her to move here for good ;)

ALSO, I guest posted on one of my favorite blogs last Friday! If you like blogs that are thoughtful and have interesting writing/content than Clear the Way is for you. Kate created a series where she asks a couple of bloggers to write about a certain word, and for March it's "opening". If you want to see my take on opening click on over here. (Disclosure: thangs are going to get ~personal~)

  7. I read your guest post, and can I just say that I loved it? Because I LOVED it.
It'd be so much easier to find happiness in other people, but I think the happiest and most satisfied you can feel is when you focus on yourself and becoming the person you want to be first.
    Anyway, great guest post!
Also, love how you did denim on denim here :) You and your layering, you're just so spectacular at it

  19. I love your parka! I thrifted a really cute one recently, but it's made of chiffon so it's super lightweight and better for the milder weather where I live :) Also, your boots are super cute :)
