Tuck in Your Cardis

SWEATER: Forever 21
COAT: thrifted
SKIRT: c/o Little Miss Vintage Three
BELT: H&M
BOOTIES: Macy's

I've always heard the old "tuck in your shirt!" warning, but have you heard the cardi one? I never really thought of doing that until I saw this one photo on Pinterest where a girl had this full sweeping maxi, and then paired it with a thin cardi that was tucked in and acting as the shirt. I was inspired. What an awesome way to double your closet!

So when I got this Little Miss Vintage Three knit skirt, I knew it would take some finagling to make this pastel pink work during the winter time. And what's more wintery than a striped cardigan? Instead of doing the usual "hanging open" route with the sweater, I instead buttoned it up all the way and transformed it into a vest of sorts. I love how polished it looks!

Little Miss Vintage Three is an awesome store because it carries a lot of basic and core pieces you'd need in your wardrobe, and for really cheap, too! They have plaid blouses, chunky knit sweaters, leopard print coats (yes, that's a basic), floral skirts- just about everything that you'd need! So if you have a moment, make sure to check out Little Miss Vintage Three here and see what your closet is missing :)

And here are my favorite picks from Little Miss Vintage Three- how sweet is that sailor collar dress?

  7. Aww this outfit is so sweet. It totally reminds me of Emma Pillsbury (the counselor from Glee). I need to experiment with tucking my cardis more. I think the key is to wear it with skirts that have structured waist. That way the tucked in shirt/cardi won't make the skirt bulge out. I dont know if this trend will workout with a bodycon skirt :)

Thanks for the nice comment on my blog, by the way. I wrapped the turban myself using a plain 'ol square scarf. I'm going to work on a tutorial this weekend so I can share it with you guys.
