DRESS: c/o Rebel Closet| VEST: c/o Pretty Cat Vintage| COAT: thrifted| HAT: Urban Outfitters| BOOTS: Macy's

Here's me rocking Diane Keaton's closet again- I think this might become a permanent thing! Lately I've been really liking how buttoned up vests look over long maxi dresses- it reminds me of something Daphne from Frasier would wear or Phoebe from Friends. Then add in an over-sized peacoat and some weathered lace up boots and you've got yourself a 90's heroine! I wore this outfit out to a lazy day of eating at diners and watching matinee movies with my brother while the Tundra raged on outside. While munching on greasy fries and sipping sweetened coffee out of weathered mugs, we turned onto the serious topic of what his first drink should be upon turning 21 in a couple of months. I told him not to mess around and just go straight to the good stuff: frozen margaritas. He grimaced as he poured syrup over his pancakes (this was around three in the afternoon, mind you) and said he'd want something distinguished as his first dip into the water. Like, scotch on the rocks. And this is coming from the guy who shuddered when sipping bubbly champagne at New Years Eve, haha. Good luck to ya, kid.

And on a more fashion related note, this particular suede vest is from Pretty Cat Vintage- a store that's brimming with Southwestern charm. They've got more vests like this in stock, as well as chunky fishermen sweaters, ankle booties, and aztec printed skirts. Check them out here if you're curious!

And here's how I styled this Pretty Cat Vintage last time, in this post

And just to give you an idea of what they have in stock, here are some of my favorite pieces from their store!

  1. This is totally a Phoebe look! I love Friends...haha. My first legal drink was sort of lame. We had a family party where we just had wine coolers and whatnot, so I just had a Mike's Hard Lemonade. I do enjoy those now, but I have moved on to more "serious" drinks...haha.

  10. Lol, about how you get a 90's herione! Love it and spot on with the outfit!

PS He should probably try something like a Jack and Coke. Whiskey seems rather manly, yet the coke is familar and I think the whiskey gives a fun tang (not a literal tang flavor mind you, just something a bit different).

  37. Haha, oh man. My first drink when I turned 21 was a Pale Moon-- vodka with white chocolate. It sounded good (white chocolate? Yes please) but UGH. So gross. You'd better report on how his foray into drinks goes with that distinguished first one. Haha! I bet it'll be hilarious.
I love how you wear clothes. Seriously, on anyone else I think I wouldn't like this, but you make it look awesome. Your styling is always perfect!
