Taking Tips From the French

Mousevox-EtsyMousevox-Vintage

When I first received this Mousevox Vintage vest, I knew I was going to transform it into a layering top much like I did in this post, this post, and this one. One of my favorite things to do recently is to button up a vest to the very top and tuck it into a skirt, transforming it into a sleeveless top. It's such an easy layer and makes the usual shirt-and-skirt combo a little more interesting!

Also, check me out rocking a beret! I felt like I should go put a baguette in a tote bag, swing it over my shoulder, and go drink coffee at a corner cafe while chain smoking fashionably. I may or may not have annoyed Marc with mime moves for about half an hour, but that also couldn't be helped. I got this beauty at Nemres, who has a treasure trove of vintage. They've got everything from sweaters, to crop tops, to creepers and boots. So if you want to kill an hour window shopping, I'd go ahead and pop over there ;)

  1. This outfit is so adorable! I love the beret. I've been thinking about buying one for myself. I'm not really a hat person, but I'm trying to become one. Thanks for the comment on my blog. I love to hear from my readers!

  4. I enjoyed the image of your mime moves. I constantly annoy my husband with my British accent and interpretive dances, glad I'm not alone :) Love the beret, the layers, the Frenchiness, love it all! Oh, now I'm craving a baguette with a slab of brie- thanks.

  5. You are the cutest. Seriously making me want to find some vests to layer, but then I always get way too hot if I wear lots of layers. So that'll have to wait till after pregnancy.
I LOVE the beret! And that skirt. Kind of amazing.
Hehe, I would totally have started miming, too, and my husband would probably have rolled his eyes at me and patted my hand like I was five. But, you know, it's still fun.

  36. Ahhh a new favorite of mine (of yours) for sure!!! I LOVE the adorable green beret and can't believe how you pull it off! I saw one at a thrift store last weekend and wasn't sure if I could rock it, and now I'm wishing I had grabbed it! You doing mime moves to Marc totally sounds like a Rob/Hannah typical day scenario as well, I wish we could all eat baguettes and drink coff together in real life!
    Happy Friday!
