Well THIS is a fall outfit if I've ever seen one. Remember this French inspired, Whhttt Vintage dress I wore to a night out last week? Well now that the afternoons are getting chillier, I needed a way to change this summer outfit into a fall- appropriate one. Usually it takes some finagling, but this case was easy enough: I just decided to throw on a cable knit sweater and lace up some boots to accommodate this cool weather that's trying to horn in on my Indian Summer. And since I'm a sucker for hats, I topped off my summer-turned-fall-outfit with a wide brimmed hat to give it some pizzazz.

Speaking of hats, I've been watching old reruns of I Love Lucy while writing, and now I don't think I could take another breath until I buy a pillowbox hat. Anyone know of any stores that are selling those?! There's a fancy, vintage-inspired hat store in downtown, and even though its four walls are my version of Versailles, they sell for $100 a pop and I just can't bare to buy one. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

  25. Hooray sweaters over dresses. Such a great combination. I think the print on your dress is so much fun. I'm jealous of your sweater-wearing ability though. It's too hot here.

I hope you find your pillbox hat soon!

  26. I'm so glad you include how you wore it other times. It shows creativtiy and helps me when I'm thinking "I've seen this dress before but it looked different, I think?"

Very cute, 20s sort of a look.

PS all your banners look like a photobucket malfunction.

  28. uhh, i'm still desperately trying to dress summerily, even though the temperature's clearly indicating it's autumn already on most days.. this is a lovely outfit, though! the dress is so pretty and i love how the sweater looks with it:-) xx

  29. Love this-the layering is genius :) I wear dresses more than any item of clothing, for some reason I'm more comfortable in them than jeans and this has inspired me to dig out a jumper and layer it over a dress when the weather takes a turn! Nice hat also.

The salt spray was I think about £3 in the UK so a great deal cheaper then the Bumble and Bumble one! I don't know how much it would work out with the exchange rate but I'm sure you'd be able to pick it up on international beauty sites. Also my favourite salt spray so far was a cheap one from a store we have here called 'superdrug', it was only about £2.50 and if you can have it shipped I'd recommend it! Hopefully this has been helpful :)
