I just spent the last minute battling with my toaster trying to make it, you know, toast, but to no avail. At my wit's end, I stooped as low as vehemently threatening it in Polish which is when Marc swaggered in and, without a word, plugged it in.

Haha that's how my day is going. And the toaster got me back for the mean words by torching my bread into a crisp. Well played appliance, well played.

Ah well, at least I'm wearing a cute shirt dress today. That's a small win if I ever heard one. This is how I styled this Scarlet Monkey Vintage dress in the past (when I went to Lollaaaa):

  3. Haha I can never find the right temperature for my toast. I have the same constant battle with my kitchen appliances and your story seemed way too familiar to me :]

I love the way you juxtaposed the pastel colors of your dress with a bright neon belt and shoes! Great look!

  9. Beautiful! You know, has anyone ever told you that you look like an older and more grown up version of Matilda? You know, from the movie Matilda? I'm going to assume no one has ever told you that because that's a weird thing to say. Haha, anyway.. I love that dress!

  10. Oh what a cute dress! It looks breezy and fresh <3 perfect for summer. I love the way you styled- both ways, actually.
Also, you always share fun anectodtes! :D Isn't it awful when "tecnologic" stuff refuses to work? Frustration...

  11. I really like this dress! And I don't have a very good relationship with my new toaster either. 8/10 whatever is in there comes out black as soot. It has to be under constant surveillance or it's going to get behind me and kick me in the butt when I'm not watching! :/

  13. Those dern everyday appliances, needin' to be plugged in. It's okay. I totally burnt my toast (er, rice cake... yes I put a rice cake in the toaster haters gon hate) this morning, too, so we can suffer together.

Look at those little splashes of NEON! They are fierce. Those sandals are so rad, Marlen!

  17. Is that Marc??? I've never seen a picture of him. My boyfriend's nickname is actually Marc (with the c) because he lies to the people at Starbucks about his name because his real name is a lot more complicated.

I hate my toaster at the moment. I burned TWO pieces of bread this morning.

Your dress looks nice and cool :)

  18. It's so frustrating when "smart" appliances refuse to do our bidding....even when we don't hold up our end of the deal (i.e. plug them in). They should know better, have some sort of "I'm not connected to a power source" warning light.

  19. Oh don't you love mornings like that? Cute dress!

  20. OK, so, um, the pattern-mixing with your dress and your clutch is practically perfection and is making me drool. Seriously. The tassels are so you! And your hat in the last frame is uuber cute.

also, I think you should try your hand at fiction writing. I always enjoy reading your posts and you express yourself very well with the written word.
