The Dress of My Dreams

Oh. My. Word. This dress. The pictures don't even do it justice. Like I would dump Marc and marry this dress if it was an option. The powder blue color, the shape and cut of the frock, the simple stripes and the unfussy bow. I couldn't even bare to layer over it, and just opted to slip a polka dotted blouse underneath for some soft pattern play. And just like that, it became my favorite look of the summer. It just makes me feel so wonderfully Audrey, ya know? (Also, I'm aware that my obsession with the woman is starting to get cray-zay)

This dress was gifted to me by the ever-lovely Eileen of Nautie Godiva VintageShe first started her store in her dorm during college, just as a way to make some extra snack money here and there. But her love quickly flowered and now she's an up and coming fashion designer and uses these pieces as inspiration and a text book for her designs. Come check out her store here, and maybe you'll find your own dream dress, too ;)

  1. I love the way you layered the polka dot blouse underneath this dress. It's such a stunning combination. Love the light shade of blue of the dress and how much you love it, finding pieces like that is the best!!

  11. Can I just say, you're a pleasure to know as well :) And you most definitely inspire me! We may not have the same style, but I still love checking out your blog and seeing how you layer so artfully and creatively. I'm such a wimp in the heat though, so I'm stocking up on your tips for when it starts cooling down. Haha, sorry, but they don't make deodorant strong enough for me to get away with layers in the summer. I sweat like a man. -_-
Anyway, congrats on finding your dream dress! It looks lovely and perfect on you!

  12. Dumping yo man for a dress? Girl... girl, I like your style. Guwahaha. I adore your posts so much all the time forever always etc, etc.

But that dress really does have a rad pattern, and I just wish I could stick my hand through the screen and touch it, because the texture looks neat, too. And those hoop earrings? Rockin'!

  19. Gah this shop is too cute, loving the "Cape Cod 1970s jumpsuit" so much. This dress is fabulous, I often find vintage dresses with this kind of half sleeve length and really love how you layered a blouse underneath it! Hope you are having a wonderful 4th!
