The Road Back Home
Apr 6, 2012
I had to journey back home for the holidays (see: take the train to the suburbs), and the way it shook down was like I was trapped in an ABC Family tv-movie. The horror. I had to juggle two giant bags that were my makeshift suitcase for 14 city blocks, ran the last two of those blocks because I was dangerously close to missing my train, wiped out while not so nimbly maneuvering the curb, and ran down the platform like a mad woman milliseconds before the train doors closed in my face. I made it just in time, sweating with hair plastered to my face and breathing irregularly. This is why I don't leave the city. Thankfully my mom had a marshmallow egg waiting for me when I got home so all is forgotten.
